Scorpion
Let's get this one out of the way. It looks scary and gross but do it! It honestly tastes like nothing, it only tastes crunchy so for me I was disappointed, I was expecting more but it was still okay nonetheless. Trying scorpion is a must-do in Thailand, you can find them everywhere and if you want to go the next step further there is also tarantulas that you can try and even alligator. Maybe next time though, I wasn't that brave this time round.
Pad Thai
A Thailand classic! It is just a stir-fried rice/noodle dish that is full of veggies. Pad Thai is a dish that goes back years in history and was invented as it was an inexpensive dish that you can make up of different veggies and meats. Pad Thai is one of those meals that you can get anywhere in Thailand and yet not 2 people make it the same way so the chances of getting the same tasting Pad Thai are incredibly slim, they may taste similar but from my time in Thailand, none of the curry's I had were the same which kept things interesting for me since it wasn't always the same meal.
Mango Sticky Rice
My favourite dessert! Mango sticky rice is just the right amount of sweet. If you are a sweet kind of person then this is for you. All it is is mango slices on a bed of rice drowned in sweetened condensed milk. It is again, a must-try when you are in Thailand and the best tip I have for you is when you try and find mango sticky rice, stay away from restaurants, and go to the markets or smaller stands, they are always cheaper and they always use much fresher mangos.

Tom Yum Soup
This soup is amazing! As a group, we made it in a cooking class and it was delicious. Another recipe that you need to try, and the best thing is that it is a super easy recipe so you can even make it at home. Tom Yum Soup is so complex, it is spicy, sweet and sour all in one so it can be a lot to take in but don't let that scare you out of trying Tom Yum.
The wrap-up: 4 tasty Thailand dishes!
Out of my 4 must-try dishes for Thailand, the one that I will always go back to will forever be the amazing mango sticky rice. It might just be because I am a sucker for sweets and desserts but this is soo good, the mangos in Thailand are just so much better than Australian mangos, the condensed milk over the top is just chefs kiss, I can not wait for the next time I am given mango sticky rice cause that will disappear real fast.
