Today was our actual final day inside the beautiful country of Thailand! The first stop on the schedule for the day was a super early morning hike up to the viewpoint of Ko Phi Phi. Thew walk to the base of the mountain was only a 20-minute walk from our resort. At that time of the morning, it was really peaceful, it honestly helped to just soak in all the last-minute things on the island.

The viewpoint we went up was called Viewpoint 1, there are actually 34 viewpoints on the island but this was the smallest hike and the most popular. I do understand why though! The view from up there was gorgeous, you were able to see both main beaches as well as snorkel spots from the previous days. The weather wasn't that great if I'm being honest, it was still warm but it was incredibly overcast, will I do the walk again.? Absolutely! Walking up seemed to be a challenge for everybody, Josh and I found out that we desperately needed to work on our cardio and others found out that they needed to drink less alcohol before doing a hike, but hey each to their own right?

After our hike, we all hobbled down the mountain, headed out for some breakfast and did our last-minute shopping. Breakfast was skipped for me, after the hike I just really wanted something to drink so I ended up getting a smoothie from a nice little smoothie stand near the beach, I ended up getting a strawberry and cream smoothie while Josh got a mango smoothie and damn I didn't ever think I would witness him drink a smoothie that fast. They were good though so it does make sense.

Josh was going to do a dive lesson today but since we had to leave to go to Phuket at midday he sadly missed out, but just gave us an excuse to come back to Phi Phi. The ride back to mainland Thailand was a rocky ride, the sea was very rough and I reckon that boat was purposely going slower than it needed to. I was babysitting one of the guys on the trip, he was feeling horrendous so we all made sure he was feeling okay on the boat, poor guy was up the entire night throwing up. He believes it was something he ate at dinner so it should pass hopefully soon. After our 2-hour boat ride we took a car ride up to Phuket, the views were so beautiful! (What I saw anyway, I slept a fair chunk of the trip up to Phuket)

Making it to Phuket, the hotel we were spending our last night in had a few pools so we headed down to chill by the pool one final time before a few of us went out for dinner, Sarah suggested we head down Bangla Road and from my personal experience, I will not be heading down that road again. There was way too much going on and I couldn't handle it. Lots of smells, pushy people and way too much noise. It was classic Thailand though, many of my friends have told me that they love Bangla Road but I much prefer a small restaurant in Thailand to people-watch.
