Gumbuya World is one of the very few big water parks inside the state of Victoria just a short drive from Melbourne. Gumbuya world not only had a few big water slides making it adult friendly as well but it had a zoo plus some classic theme park rides as well. The entire day was packed for myself and Josh. Even though it is clearly aimed at much younger kids or at least families with kids I personally still believe it was a great day out with Josh and Brandon.
The zoo was half open range and half caged and they did an amazing job with the layout, it wasn't confusing, there was assessable paths everywhere and there was clear signs to show direction and animals. One of the best zoos I've been too really and it wasn't over crowded. Â
We spent most of our day inside the lazy river and trying out all of the water slides, we had an absolute blast. I was able to get my gopro out on the lazy river and it made the entire experience just so memorable. That lazy river though, easily beats the one at Geelong Adventure Park so they better watch out, Gumbuya World is where it is at for the lazy river, it was both relaxing and insane. There was a good third of it that became a tsunami which is a nice change up I reckon consider all lazy rivers I've been in are fairly slow and not much happens.
Overall, would I recommend this theme park? Absolutely, whether you are a family or going with your friends, it is such a good day out and it is such an amazing way to beat the crowds while still having all the fun.
