Today was hectic but yet not at the same time. The group said goodbye to the people doing the 9 day trip and we made our way to Ho Chi Minh city with some not so great news.
Bevan and I woke up early to make the most of the breakfast food, accompanied by a stray dog that followed us to the hotel. As we sat and ate I noticed my throat being a bit itchy so I took some medication just to try and not get sick like Bevan did.
On to the airport! It felt like the drive took forever and it was only an hour or so drive. The flight was pretty standard and short, shorter then what I expected anyway. I had a well needed nap on the fight to Ho Chi with some tunes in my head phones, it was over very fast which was great because the airport was hot and I wanted to go exploring.
We got onto another bus and rocked up at the fanciest hotel of the entire trip, we dumped our bags and decided to go for a little explore to see a few things but that’s when it hit me… Bevan’s sickness has got me and I felt like I’d been ran over by a semi truck.

This made the walk to the old post office unbearable and I just wanted to go lay down, but after the 20 minute slow paced walk we made it to the post office and it was so worth it.
The slow walk began as we started walking to the hotel, we took our time and stopped when I needed to which is nice.
Bevan and I had dinner at a small resturant around the corner from the hotel, by this point I was so mentally and physically drained that I would randomly start crying. Wasn’t helpful when I so badly wanted to keep looking around but it is what it is.

Good thing Bevan is a good man though, after a small lay down we headed out on a 20 minute walk to see the famous café apartments, if i wasn’t feeling so crappy I’m sure I would of enjoyed myself better. Even then it was still a pretty building and I’m glad I powered through.
I hope I’m feeling better tomorrow though, we have another bus since we are heading to the Mekong Delta!
