Wakey wakey eggs and bacey! Well, not really but we did start the day off with eggs.

While we sat at the amazing (but cold) buffet breakfast Bevan and I began to plan out our really early morning and it went a little like this.

First stop, Japanese covered bridge. What a pretty sight and so worth going before 9am so there wasn't any crowds and barely any people. After walking the bridge we spent a good 45 minutes slowly walking the japanese culture street to admire the buildings and just the quietness of the morning.

10am rolled around and off to lantern making we go! Bevan and I both made sunrise lanterns but we made different sizes, plus all things considering and the fact neither of us are crafty the lanterns turned out stunning and I can not wait to hang them up at home in a few weeks.

God today was busy, we just were go go go all day. After the lanterns had been dropped off safely in our rooms a few of us from the group went to the beach club, Bevan and I went to the beach but went to a small banhmi restaurant and enjoyed some sweet and strong coconut coffee. Bevan still doesn't like it but I'm glad he gave it another chance.

Lantern boats tonight, but us very unlucky ones forgot umbrellas so we did the lantern boats drenched, the view and the scenery made it worth it though. The water was still, the night was a bit chilly but it ended up being a really romantic night.

Especially considering after the lantern boats with the group Bevan and I wanted to go try a banhmi shop we had found on google maps. After a short walk down a few dark alleys thinking we were in the wrong area since there was so many houses but we got to a wonderful family ran business. It was just so welcoming, the kids were there as well plus the mother (chef) had an in-depth conversion about the cooking and how fresh everything is. We felt right at home and seriously, please you do not want to miss this restaurant when your in Hoi An so go say hello. You won't regret it!
