Day 6: Thailand (Khao Sok — Ko Phangan)

Another bright and early start. Woke up early enough to see the sun rise even though it was way to cloudy to get a good sunrise. Still got a grey pretty time lapse of it getting brighter though which is still pretty.

Today we were making our way over to Ko Phangan so we were back on the ferry today. It was a boat ride out of Khao Sok, then a long hour-long van ride then another hour-long boat ride to the island of Ko Phangan.

At Ko Phangan, we got another van to our beach bungalows at Intro Travels hub Sarana Bungalows. This place is a must-visit, white sand beach, adorable reception animals, amazing food and such a cool infinity pool. We all settled in for a few hours, had a bit of lunch and slept before getting out to go to a club then a beach party. 

On our way to dinner the van drivers were so speedy, they went way over the speed limits and scared the majority of the group in the van was terrified. But we got to dinner in one piece so that's a bonus. After ordering some amazing food we all started painting everybody with glow paint for the club we were going to. Some of the group was already gone and off on a different planet before leaving the nice restaurant and just got more and more drunk at the club, it was very nice spending that time out and about though. Again the club didn't have mocktails but I was very happy just sitting off to the side and having a moment to myself while everybody played pool, Josh got up and played as well which is nice. 

After a few hours at the club we made our way down to the beach party, played a few beach games with another Intro tour group that was there and just after a while since Josh and I were sobber we kinda just wanted to head to bed so when the other group was leaving we jumped in the van with them and went back about 4 hours early compared to the rest of the group who came home at about 3am the next morning.

Overall we still had a great time at the club and beach party, even though it's not our type of scene just being with these awesome people makes going out more fun. We don't have friends like this back home so it's nice.
