Waking up on the overnight train was easy, I slept pretty lightly but I did get heaps of sleep. Josh really really struggled, he was higher and closer to the lights which never turned off so he didn't sleep much at all making the experience so much harder on him.
I woke up about 4 am, we had to get off at our stop at 5 am but the train got delayed so the new time was 6:30 am. But I couldn't sleep so instead I started figuring out how to change our flights and BAM straight away I figured it out and I was completely over the freaken moon. After 48 hours of trying to figure it out, I finally got it and it was a great feeling, now I just needed to figure out how to pay for it.
Getting off the train was almost a nightmare, Sarah told us she would tell us where our stop was but she never came and got us. If it wasn't for the fact I stood up and saw our group getting off at the station we would have absolutely stayed on that train.
Heading across the road from the station we got breakfast, basic breakfast but breakfast nonetheless. But what made it better were the cats! The owners of the place we had breakfast at had a few kittens and they were adorable!

Once we all got dragged from the kittens we got shoved into vans for a long van ride of about an hour making our way to Khao Sok. If you haven't heard of it, please google it. This place is stunning. It's technically a man-made lake situation but I wouldn't been able to tell unless you told me, it looked so natural and so gorgeous.
Arriving at the lake we got onto a long boat which gently took us about another hour, almost 90 minutes to get to our accommodation for the night. Floating bungalows! Josh loved staying here, so did I but you could tell that Josh clearly enjoyed it more. That man loves nature.
At the bungalows we had a bit of time before lunch so the group grabbed life jackets and got into the water. While everybody was getting into the water I rang Josh's mum to pay for the flights since I couldn't do it internationally. Now, the bungalows were power generated so the generator's don't come on until 5pm. My phone was on 3% while I was trying to buy these flights and I didn't want to waste Josh's parents time so I'm rushing, they are rushing and as soon as the payment went through, the new flights were confirmed, I told Josh's amazing mum thank you. My phone died. I cried some happy tears and so did Josh before we went and joined the others in the water for a swim before lunch.

The rest of the day was free time, still without power most people went kayaking, I tried to go out with them but I was way to scared since I had only 1 hand and wasn't able to steer. I had no hope in Josh of not tipping the kayak so I went into our room and had a nap. From what I heard from the group they had a terrific time out exploring in the kayaks.

Dinner came around so quickly, the food here was so nice and filling, everything was very fresh and filled me up. After swimming and all the anxiety from the flight booking both Josh and I worked up an appetite, we for sure didn't go to bed hungry that night.
