Good things is the biggest travelling festival in Australia and I am so incredibly lucky that I was able to go and it be my first ever festival. It was the best festival to start off with, the atmosphere was so perfect and the people were so kind.
This year there was a surprising amount of bands that I have known for years such as Fall Out Boy, Limp Biskit, DEVO, Spiderbait and Eskimo Joe so I was so happy that I would be seeing some of the big names I have grown up with. To make it even more special this was the second time seeing Fall Out Boy live, I saw them back in 2019 and both times were just as magical. On top of this, DEVO announcement their retirement meaning that we were taking part of the crows for their final tour so that to me was such an honor.
The festival started at 10am so Josh and I left Warrnambool to drive up in the early morning so we could park the car on sight which was only $15 for the full day so it honestly wasn't that horrible for such an event. With this the festival ran until 9:30pm when Fall Out Boy was the last act and wow I was so amazed by it. My feet and legs were sore, I accidently got sunburnt because I couldn't find sunscreen all day at the Flemington Race Track but even with that I still had a great time. Walked away with a lessened ability to hear so I have learnt that for next time I need to bring earplugs.
Throughout the day Josh and I ended up watching almost every hand that played on the 2 main stages which included bands such as Enter Shikari, Eskimo Joe, DEVO, Limp Biskit and Bullet for my Valentine and all performances were exciting and different in their own ways. For sure would love to go back again next year, it was a fabulous day out even though we didn't back to Warrnambool until 2am the following morning but I have absolutely zero regrets so I can't wait for my next festival, Josh on the other hand this wasn't his thing so it looks like I will need to find a new festival buddy.Â
