This year, we decided to make Bevan’s birthday one for the books! After brainstorming ideas, I settled on an adventure-filled day that combined thrills, delicious food, and a bit of shopping. Here’s a recap of our fantastic day yesterday!
The Escape Room Experience: The Conjoining
We kicked off the celebration at Rush Escape Rooms in Melbourne, diving straight into an exhilarating experience called The Conjoining. As soon as we entered the room, the atmosphere was charged with excitement. The immersive environment was beautifully crafted, drawing us into a mysterious storyline that made us feel like we were part of a thrilling adventure.
With clues hidden in every corner and puzzles to solve, we had to work together to escape. I loved how this experience brought out our competitive sides while also requiring us to communicate and collaborate effectively. There were moments of frustration, but they only made our victories sweeter! We managed to escape but our game master did have to give us an extra 15 minutes since we got stuck really hard on a silly puzzle. But it was the perfect start to Bevan’s special day!
A Delicious Lunch at Easeys
After our escape room triumph, we headed to Easeys for lunch. Located in a vibrant part of Melbourne, Easeys is known for its mouth-watering burgers and unique vibe. We settled in with a view of the city while enjoying the lively atmosphere.
Bevan opted for the BBQ bacon and cheese burger with an extra patty, while I went for something a little more down my ally which was the Louisiana fried chicken sandwich. Each bite was a delight, and we couldn’t resist sharing some loaded fries. It was the perfect meal to recharge after the excitement of the morning.
A Little Retail Therapy and Fro-yo
With our bellies full and spirits high, we took a speed walk to a hobby shop and an Asian grocers. Shopping together is always a highlight, and we had a blast racing the clock to see all the shops we wanted to see before our parking became really expensive at Melbourne Central Station. After we made it back to the car in expert timing we headed out for one last treat of the day. Frozen Yoghurt! We love the chain called Yo-Chi honestly can't fault them ever, neither can Bevan with the way he just stacks on his crumble every time he go haha.
Wrapping Up the Day
After our shopping spree, we headed home, feeling grateful for a day well spent. It was wonderful to celebrate Bevan’s birthday with such fun and adventure.
