After a hectic three day drive up from Ballarat to Cairns my uncle convinced us to stay another night so he could show us around. We spent the entire day going and seeing different waterfalls and taking photos from different view points.

The day was so busy but it made me realize how much there is to see and do in Cairns, everything was just so peaceful and stunning. Nothing like I've ever seen before in Australia and I can't recommend you visit this place enough.

We began the day with a drive up to Kuranda, a small tourist town in the rainforest. After a short drive, we arrived at the lookout point for Barron Falls. Standing there, we were happy to watch the sights by the water rushing down the cliffs.

Next, we got back in the car and headed to the Atherton Tablelands, known for fresh produce. Our main and only destination was a pick-your-own strawberry farm. The farm was on the smaller side but there was still plenty of people around. My amazing uncle Parish bought Bevan and himself some sorbet and judging by the silence in the car it was amazing!

After finishing the icecream we continued our journey to the iconic Millaa Millaa Falls. The path leading to the falls was lined with lush greenery, and the sound of rushing water grew louder as we approached. The falls themselves were a breathtaking sight, with water cascading down into a crystal-clear pool below. We took plenty of photos, trying to capture the beauty of the scene.

After Millaa Millaa, we visited The Boulders, another stunning spot known for its unique rock formations and serene swimming holes. We navigated the walking trails, which involved plenty of stairs, but the effort was well worth it. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the sound of water flowing over the rocks, made for a perfect backdrop for more photos.

As the day came to its end, we made our way back to Cairns, reflecting on the waterfalls and all the amazing views we saw along the way. Despite the walking and too many stairs it was an incredible day.
